What members from our immersive private sector program say about TIE.
“I could not have hoped for a better opportunity to make a real and lasting difference to a brilliant social cause, and all in just one month. The TIE process both challenged and supported me to use my skills to achieve more than I thought was possible in such a short period of time. You would be hard-pressed to find a more rewarding and productive way to spend a month.”
“[I am] Feeling more mentally aligned with myself, reigniting my curiosity & desire to learn new things, as well as having more perspective on how much I take for granted in my day to day life and a reminder to appreciate those things and try to be more in tune with the challenges people around the world face.
In general, ZigWay gave me a lot of ideas about similar situations at work where I don’t use all the tools I could. I’m generally quite introverted so it was also a good journey getting to a place where I was comfortable trying to set up meetings with new partners.”
“It was the best thing I have ever done at work and maybe even in my life! Exciting, challenging, humbling, creative, educational, inspiring and overall an unforgettable experience. I feel very grateful to have had the opportunity to do TIE.”
“I’ve realised that all of the wonderful experience and confidence I’ve built in doing my job means I very rarely feel the rush of being completely and utterly out of my comfort zone. TIE allows me to be inventive in a new context and test myself in areas in which I have less experience.”
“I think I am less of a control freak now and know how to be more patient. I have also learnt a lot about how to lead and map out my plans so people are on board. The detail and rigour required so people are really and truly clear on a plan has been a big learning curve for me.
TIE has changed my life. I now know that anything is possible with the right attitude and right people.”
“TIE forced me to believe in my own abilities and to use my own energy and drive to push things over the line. But in addition to this, I also felt like I was all of a sudden in the driver’s seat of the organisation. Everyone was looking to me for solutions and as the source of inspiration. For the first time in my life I was the leader and I am really proud of myself for stepping up to the plate and (I think) executing well on this.”
“Professionally, I think I’ve grown into being a more conscientious, well-rounded team member, striving to listen more effectively and combine others’ input with what knowledge I may have in a given area. Moreover, I think I’ve grown into becoming more comfortable [and confident!] in taking a leadership position, leveraging my skills productively and believing in the contribution I can make.”
Making the world a better place doesn’t come without your own personal growth, and we’ll prove it. With every completion of a TIE Accelerator course, our participants will get a certificate of involvement that speaks to the individual development you went through as a member of our team. And being CPD accredited means that all of your hard work will officially go towards your professional development. You’ll also remain a part of our TIE Network of professionals to further connect, share, and empower you after your experience with us.
